6 Months Old

Leah's six months old today, so apparently she decided it was time for some changes. I put her in her crib for a couple minutes while I took care of something, and when I came back I found her propped on her knees, sucking on the railing. Looks like it's time to drop the mattress a level or two!

We've progressed with the stroller also. She's bored being in the infant carrier/car seat, and has moved on to sitting in the actual stroller. We walked around the mall yesterday, and she had a blast looking at everything. (Much more fun than having to stare at just me while she was in the infant seat). Since she had so much fun, I decided to go shopping again today...stictly for her benefit!

She also decided to sit up on her own. I put her on all fours, left the room and came back to find her sitting up! It's hard to believe that six months ago she was just taking her first breath and now look at all she can do. She is such a blessing!

Does this remind anyone else of an old man with his pants hiked up a bit too much??!
No, not Eric....the baby :)

'Tis the Season

We took Leah to see Santa the day before Thanksgiving in order to avoid the lines. She was dressed up just like him and just kept staring at him. She was all smiles...like usual...and didn't cry once. All the girls working there were commenting about how well she did that I realized just how much I take her personality for granted. Thank you Lord Jesus for such a magnificent baby!!

We put up the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, and Leah was fascinated by all the action and lights. In fact, I don't know who was more interested: Leah or Booby...or Eric for that matter!
Eric bought a book of Christmas stories last year in anticipation of sharing them with our little "Peanut" (how we referred to Leah up until 30 May). He had his glass of wine, his robe and his slippers. All he was missing was a pipe!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Steve and MarCi joined us for a fun time of drinking wine, eating, drinking more wine, playing games...and (you guessed it) drinking more wine! "Uncle Carlo" struck again :) Leah was festive in her Thanksgiving outfit that said "Thankful for Mommy" on it and had "gobble" written on the bottom of each foot. She looked absolutely adorable...and no, I'm not biased!

Videos

Here are some recent videos! Enjoy.

"Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?"

Doesn't like the car seat/carrier much now because she's too reclined. She's always trying to sit up...even when strapped in.

Won't be much longer before she's crawling around...

She's fascinated by the cat. Every time Boo jumps up next to her or walks by, she reaches out to "pet" him....

First time having sweet potatoes...don't think she likes them much...twitch, twitch...

She LOVES peek-a-boo

She has a lovely singing voice...really!

Baytowne Wharf

We went to the Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin this weekend. It's a fun little area in a resort community that has lots of cute shops, restaurants and kiddie things to do. Before we left, I took a break in a secluded area to feed Leah, and Eric wandered off (I can't tell you how many times I've 'lost' him before!) He had gone into a bar called Rum Runners and asked the bartender for "something foofy, but not frozen". And what do you think he was given....a rum runner! We took some cute pictures, fed the fish and had a great lunch. Enjoy the pictures!
Also, don't forget to cast your vote at the sidebar to the right. I think you have to click on the "change your vote button" first (I don't know why...I'm still learning this), and then you can choose your nominee.

Sleeping Beauty

Looking at Leah sleeping in my arms, I can't help but think about some of her funny and cute sleeping moments. Some are older; some new (as you can tell by the color or amount of hair). Enjoy. God bless.

And last...but certainly not least....our other sleeping beauty...
