Pretty in Pink

I just realized there's quite a bit of pink in the following pictures. Something with having girls, I suppose.

The girls and I hanging out in Leah's room after showers.

Leah decided I needed a blanket, Tommy Turtle and her princess pillow (which she put under me as she held my head up by my hair)
Where are you scooting to Aine??
I put on The Little Mermaid the other day so I could change out my nightstand (Eric got me a reader's nightstand for Christmas, and since it was on just arrived). They were both mesmerized by "Princess Awiwel" aka Princess Ariel.

Look at her crossed legs... :) Amazingly, she's not face-down.
I put on a cloth diaper/training pant before bed. With the inserts in it, it was so big and bulky. I was laughing so hard and poor Leah was crying that she didn't want to wear it. As soon as I took this picture, she went into her room, took it off and put on a Pull-Up!
Eric and Leah enjoying the abundant sunshine.

Aine's Dedication to the Lord

We dedicated our precious Aine at church today, and it went really well. Aine was very overdue for her nap but thankfully was not cranky at all. She did great and (of course) looked adorable! We're so grateful to have such a wonderful church family and such a gifted teacher with Pastor James. It's quite humbling that God has blessed us with another fabulous daughter...may He give us the strength to raise them well and honorably.

(Good thing that's a loose fitting dress....)

A Rough Week

It was a pretty bad week for me (and thus for poor Eric also). I felt really rundown Wednesday afternoon and then slept all day Thursday and Friday. Eric brought Aine to me for feedings and then away again. I'm still not 100%, but I am out of bed. I'm not in pjs. I'm showered! Thank you Jesus!!

I forgot to upload the pictures off of my phone for a while, so some of the pictures this week are a bit old....oh well. This maaaaay surprise some of you, but I'm NOT perfect :)

The girls tried on Vinny's fro wig at the Groovy New Year's party. Leah loved having it on and having her picture taken in it...
...Aine, not so much!

Taking a break out of her busy shopping trip to nurse a dolly. A stray dolly in need. That's my girl :)
She fell asleep in the van with a piece of prune on her face. I couldn't resist :)
Leah and Katherine decorating gingerbread men cookies. Would you like a little cookie with your icing girls???

Leah decided Boo (who is in the hamper, by the way) needed a blanket. Gave him one. Got in with/on him. Patient cat!!!
Eric's office had a Christmas potluck. It was yummy (but it involved food and those of you who know me...know I would enjoy that!)

Helping Leah build her "tall tower"...
Happy Aine...
Chillin' in big sis' bed...
Leah "helping" me fold laundry...
...actually she didn't do a bad job!

How Do You Eat an Elephant?

One bite at a time!!! Hahaha (Old joke I know, but I couldn't help it :) )

The service starts at 10:30 (central), and the dedication will be after approximately 30 minutes of music. Hope to be seen soon :)

The Week in Review

This is how Aine sleeps...face down! If you move her head, she'll just move it right back. It's soooo freaky. (Nice bald spot, huh?)

We went to Grafitti's the other night with Tracy and the girls. It was really cold out, but that didn't stop Leah and Katherine from enjoying the playground before dinner.
Goofy Leah...
Budding BFFs... (Aine and Libby)

Tracy, Katherine and Libby came over for dinner last night, and since the girls ate so well (amazing feat for one of them to eat well...but both? Sweet!) we let them decorate cookies. They seem to like using A LOT of sprinkles to express their creativity! But they were good....
Aine's mini photo shoot...

It looks like Leah's tackling her, but it's just a sisterly hug :)

And finally...Leah movin', groovin' and sweepin' to some old school Loverboy. It's only a matter of time before she takes something out with that broom!

Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve. Ours was groooovy! Vince and Adrienne threw a 70s-style party, so we hit the Waterfront Mission for some fab clothes. It was a great time, but we left around 9 so we could get the kids to bed (and me too). Eric stayed up to watch the ball drop.
