Pig Tails

Tracy watched Leah this morning while I went to a baby shower.  When I came back Leah was in pig tails.  I was so excited; I've been trying to put her in pig tails for so long, but she wouldn't let me.  She loves how it looks in the mirror, so I'm hoping she'll let me do it from now on :)

Ultrasound Pictures

I had an ultrasound on Friday, and it was awesome!  It's amazing to watch this little baby in my belly moving all around, and I couldn't feel it! (I have felt the baby kick, but I certainly don't feel the amount of movement I saw).  The tech could tell the gender and asked if I was sure about not wanting to know.  I did have a moment of  'weakness', but recovered quickly :)....so we're all still in the dark until he/she makes an arrival.

More Miscellaneous Pics

"Peanut's" crib came, and Eric put it together.  We love it (although it's so strange to see the dark wood in that room instead of white...it's also strange to see the mattress so high)!  Leah tried to help put it together, but she wasn't very helpful!!!  When it was all done, we asked her whose crib it was and she said "baby" and then put four of her dolls in it :)
She loves wearing hats.  Karen and John bought Eric his new "bus driver" hat while they were in town as a gift for his upcoming promotion to major. We asked Leah to smile for the camera and this is one of the cheesy grins she gave (although they're getting less dramatic)!

She decided to "hide" from me the other morning :)
okay...this is a very bizarre habit!  Leah occupies herself while I'm in the shower by pulling out all the underwear from my drawer.  She used to just put one around her neck as a necklace, but she's now moved on to putting them ALL around her neck.  It's hilarious...and weird!!
Reading books and having tea with Boo and Daddy.

"Weeeee"

We met up with Jeff, Laura and little Joshua at the Destin Boardwalk this afternoon.  Destin was having its Mardi Gras celebration, so it was pretty crowded.  As soon as we pulled in the parking lot, we could see the "giant" slide...to which Leah squealed, "weeee".  They had a couple of those oversized inflated "toys": slide, jump area, etc.  She couldn't make it up the stairs on her own, so Eric and I took turns going with her.  She had sooooo much fun!  I must say....we had soooo much fun too!  Then we had some lunch at the Crab Shack.  It was great seeing Jeff and Laura...we sure do miss them!

Leah's latest is to put her hat on backwards...
She enjoys drinking out of a straw...

Some nice people handed Leah some of their beads..she loved them!

The Makis Visit

Susan and Gary visited this week, and we were able to have dinner with them on Monday.  It was so great to catch up...we haven't seen them in almost 3 years.  We finally met Caleb and their latest blessing, Chloe.  It was weird holding such a little one again. I forgot just how small they are!! I was a little overwhelmed watching them manage two children, but fortunately we have a couple months left to mentally prepare! :)  It was a really nice visit.

Eric and 5 week-old Chloe...

Leah was fascinated with Chloe and wanted to touch/hold her....

Leah wanted the baby back after Eric took her...

Mesmerized by Sesame Street....snuggling with Elmo....

She loves to squeeze herself into her dolly stroller...
