Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We're having a great time in New York with Eric's family. We saw almost everyone for a yummy Christmas Eve dinner at Uncle Frank and Aunt Rita's house. On Christmas, we had people over to Karen and John's for a delicious turkey meal and went to Sheila and Jim's later that night for more great food. Between the pizza, the holiday meals and the cookies, I think I've already gained 5 pounds. :) Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Thank you Jesus for your gift to us!!!!

NY or bust!

What a perfect shot to capture Eric's reunion with his daughter! Leah was a great traveller (as usual) and slept more than half of the flight. Eric, Karen and John greeted us at the gate and then we went to get...you guessed it...pizza. Yummy yummy.

Congratulations Major-Select Hanley!

The Air Force released the results from its Major board and my Eric was on the list. He probably won't actually be promoted from Captain to Major for about a year or so, but it's definitely something to look forward to. Congratulations my love!

So just for fun, I'm posting a picture of Eric getting his 'butter bars' (2d Lieutenant) pinned on by his parents and a picture of him and his cousin, Gary (who commissioned him)....2 Jul 1999.

Eric and Gary at Gary and Lynne's Christmas party last weekend.

Does Boo really thinks he's 'safe' from Leah inside the end table?

Our friend, Laura, at her baby shower last weekend.

I think someone needs a nap!

Snow in Fort Walton Beach!?

Well...artificial snow. One of the local shopping centers had a Christmas day last weekend, in which they brought in an artificial snow maker. Santa was there (he sure does seem to been in a lot of places this time of year) and the line to get pictures taken with him was insanely long. I also heard it was $5 just to sit on Santa's lap and take your own photo. What greed! It's such a shame the holidays have come to down to greed and gift giving instead of focusing on Jesus and his gift of salvation to us!!! Anyway, if you look closely, you can see the snow in the sky and in the palm tree.

Guess Who's Crawling!

Leah crawled on Monday! By the time I thought to get the video recorder, she was done for the night (and apparently so was the camera's battery). I kept trying to capture it yesterday, but she eluded me. Today is turning out to be just as challenging...but I did get a small clip. I'm posting other miscellaneous clips and pictures of her playing. Enjoy!

Fort Walton Beach Landing

Leah and I went to the Ft Walton Beach Landing on Saturday for the holiday festivities. They had caroling, food, lights, and Santa arriving on a firetruck. Santa's walk from the road to the gazebo was about 100 feet or so and he was trailed by children the entire distance. I put out a sheet and let her "crawl" around on it while I enjoyed the music. It got a little colder than I had thought it would, so we didn't stay for the tree lighting. Leah did get to sit on Santa's lap though...with a beautiful sunset in the background.

I love this one. It's like she's directing the choir...
