NY or Bust

We went to NY last week to visit Eric's family and had a great time! The trip started off a little rocky when we had to sit on the plane for 4 hours before we even took off for the 2 hour flight. Surprisingly, Leah did great. I lost count of how many times we walked up and down the aisles, but it kept her (and the other passengers entertained). Unfortunately Eric's parents had already left for the airport, so they had to wait for 6-7 hours at Laguardia. It wasn't all bad though...Karen found $10 while walking around! I finally made Eric take me into the city this time and we both really enjoyed it. (I'll post those pictures later...I know, I know the anticipation is killing you...) We had lots of good food...including pizza!! We saw almost everyone and hated to leave....but you can't beat sleeping in your own bed.

Enjoying the fruit of John and Karen's garden (she has a cherry tomato, but there are regular tomatoes, red potatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and green beans).
Giving a hug to cousin Kyle...

At the Grumman memorial checking out Eric's beloved F-14 before the rain came in. There are bricks on the walkway for Eric, his father John, and his grandfather Frank Kito. His other grandfather has a brick also, but it's on the other side of the plane.

Eric got a call from the neighbor who told him he was having a donkey "brought" over in ten minutes. Okay...? Apparently it was the neighbor's son's third birthday...and it was a horse. Her first pony ride.
with Uncle Brian...

stopping to admire the flowers...

We took John and Karen's vette for a "quick" trip and had to get a shot of Leah in the driver's seat...
